Hughenden Boutique Residence

Sydney is renowned for many of its Boutique hotels that offer good quality accommodation presented within Sydney's historical character. Sydney is rich with heritage buildings and old manor homes that once accommodated some of our better known pioneering personalities, but which are now warm and intimate retreats during a stay in bustling Sydney. Boutique accommodation is relished by those who enjoy character and charm, and represents good value hotel options in some of Sydney's more interesting areas.

The Hughenden Hotel was from 1870 the home of Dr Frederick Harrison Quaife, who was a founding father of the British Medical Association in the young colony. Now this boutique hotel is a popular favourite providing accommodation amongst the old world charm of this heritage building. Breakfast is available in the Conservatory and there is a restaurant and licensed bar also. Rooms are suited to single of family visits with all the usual amenities as well as wireless internet available in the lounge.

Accommodation Hotels in Sydney - The Hughenden

Description

This gracious Victorian heritage residence was built by Dr Frederick Harrison Quaife & named after Benjamin Disraeli's home in High Wycombe England. The Hughenden (circa 1870) is associated with Australia's first philosopher and is situated at the gateway to the largest expanse of turn-of-the-century Victorian architecture in Australia.

The Hughenden offers accommodation, classic dining, conferences & an experience in the Arts. Guests are invited to wander through the corridors discovering the hand-wrought grand staircase, black marble fireplaces, The Glasshouse Conservatory where tea & coffee are served, the servants' bells with all the eccentricities of the past.

We take pleasure in offering the guests of the historic Hughenden Hotel a special experience through a traditional approach to excellence and our personal style of service.
