If the question is "where to stay in Sydney over New Year Eve" then unless you get in early, beachside accommodation options will be very rare. Sydney and its famous beaches are a magnet to visitors who flock from the country side and interstate, as well as from far flung destinations over seas.

After the illusive hotel with a view of the fireworks in Sydney over New Year Eve, the beachside hotel or apartment option is the most sought after. The southern beaches such as Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach are long established suburbs with large residential populations and where land to build a tourist hotel has been rare for many years. As such relatively few beachside hotel options exist.

Much the same is true of Sydney's Northern Beaches such as Manly Beach. Here quite a few privately owned fully furnished but self-serviced apartments are let out to the summer holiday-maker.

For those of you travelling to Sydney from other parts of the world, keep in mind that local Australians find Sydney's beachside irresistible also and will frequently pre-book accommodation a year in advance for the Australian School Holidays that usually go for 6 weeks - taking in the end of December through most of January.

Transport: The 389 bus passes right out front. If coming from the City, you can get on the 389 at Bondi Junction train station or outside Kings Cross train station. Trains from the airport arrive at Central Station, where you can change trains to get to Bondi Junction or Kings Cross. The 389 also stops at Museum train station in the CBD. You can also hop on the 389 at North Bondi - Campbell Parade.
Booking Information: A credit card is required to make bookings at this property. No bookings will be accepted for guests who do not have a credit card.
Credit Cards: Payment is accepted by: VISA and Mastercard. Diners and American Express are not accepted. Payments by credit card incur a 1.5% credit card processing fee.
Payment by direct deposit must be paid (funds cleared) prior to check-in.
Other Information: The property is manned 8:30am 6pm weekdays; Saturday 9am 4 pm; Sunday 9am 1pm
Check-in can be arranged from 1pm - 6pm on weekdays. from 1pm - 4pm on Saturdays. By arrangement outside of these hours.
On arrival, a credit card imprint/authorization for security is required, as well as identification and sign a rental agreement.
Check-out - from 8.30am - 10 am. Beyond this time over-stay charges will apply.
This property does not tolerate disturbances caused to other guests by noise or littering.

New Year Eve Booking charge and cancellation Policy:

  • A 7 Night Minimum stay requirement for stays over the New Year.
  • A Deposit equal to 60% of the Total Cost of Accommodation will be charged at time of booking.
  • This amount is non-refundable if the stay is shortened or cancelled for any reason within 28 days of booked arrival or the guest fails to show.
  • Cancellation more than 29 days prior to booked arrival will receive a 40% refund of the deposit charged.
  • The remaining cost of the accommodation will be paid directly to the property at check-in
  • Once the stay has commenced no refund will apply to shortened stays.
