Central Railway Hotel is centrally located in Chalmers Street near Central Railway Station, the heart of Sydney's Transport System. The hotel is an ideal base from which to leisurely explore, or do business in Sydney. It is within minutes of the the Central Business District, Circular Quay, Chinatown and within 15 minutes to Sydney's famous Beaches. Guests are offered friendly and personalised service in an informal atmosphere.

In the immediate vicinity of Central Railway Hotel are some of Sydney's most renowned restaurants as well as countless cafes with menus priced to suit all pockets. Within a short radius a wide variety of cuisines is offered which includes Australian, Italian, French, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indian to name a few. Public Transport is at our door, with an airport bus service operating to and from the hotel, while for those with their own transport, security undercover parking is available on site.

Central Railway Hotel's location puts all of Sydney's major attractions including The Rocks, The Harbour Bridge, Centrepoint Tower, Darling Harbour and the Opera House-within easy reach.

Getting Around Sydney

The best way to get around in Sydney is on foot and ferry or other public transport.

Avoid driving a car as parking is a real problem and hefty fines will be issued if you park in the wrong spot. We recommend the Sydney Explorer Bus ,which runs every 20 minutes on a fixed route which is of interest to the visitor. The ticket entitles to unlimited rides for a whole day.

Alternatively one can use the underground, buses or taxis.

The transfer from the airport to the Central Railway Hotel can be made by taxi or door-to-door shuttle bus. A taxi costs about AU$20.00 for the trip.

The shuttle bus costs AU$7.00 per person and leaves every half hour from outside the arrival hall. There is no need to make a reservation.

The company operating the bus is called "Kingsford Smith Airport Bus Service". There is also the Airport Express public bus which runs on a regular schedule between the airport and the city.

The nearest stop is just across the road opposite Central Railway Hotel

• A deposit equal to 10% of the full stay will be charged at the time of making the booking.
• This amount is non-refundable if the stay is shortened or cancelled for any reason.
• The remaining 90% of the accommodation costs will be paid directly to the hotel during your stay
• Cancellations within 48 hours of booked arrival will incur an additional fee equal to the cost of the first nights accommodation.
• By proceeding with the booking it is understood the the above conditions have been accepted.
