This type of accommodation suits the budget traveller and back packer. It is found in the boarding house type accommodation for stays of 1 week or longer and in the shared Dorm Room of a Back Pack-Packer Hostel.

These properties, though often centrally located, do not occupy prime locations like the Rocks and Darling Harbour which are the domain of the 4 and 5 Star Hotels.

Short, medium and long term accommodation for budget conscious travellers can be found right across the city from the beach to the city itself. Generally found outside the CBD, they are often in the City fringe suburbs that ring the CBD.

Sydney offers many options that will help you save on lodging, so that you can push your dollar that little bit further.
